“Tout va Bien” radical film night and potluck! With Ashland Free Skool!

On Thursday the 29th Ashland Free Skool Collective will be co-hosting with local organizers, most prominently Emery Way, a film showing for “Tout va bien”. This is a radical film is about the May ’68 revolts in France. Come to party, learn, and share, as well as test our visual perception and heighten our global sociopolitical consciousness. Anyway, Bring food, bring beer, bring merriment, bring sickles, bring hammers, bring your copies of the Communist Manifesto. It will be… something. It is at a fortified hilltop compound at the address 430 Ashland Street. The link to the Facebook event is HERE.

There will be a Free Skool Council at the Black Sheep Pub and Restaurant. We will discuss classes, proposals, schedule, organization of free skool, etc. Please come and have true, direct input into a revolutionary democratic collective. Random conversations of class struggle and urban art warfare are totally allowed and even encouraged. There is but one rule, “LEARN SOMETHING NEW”. See you there.

The Occupy Ashland Oregon General Assembly meets once a week:  Weds 12/28 6pm at Peace House 543 S Mountain (up the hill by SOU), Ashland – Weds 1/4, 6pm (location TBD).  Beginning 1/8/12, GA will move to Sundays at 2pm (location TBD)

All are welcome, please come and express your thoughts to bring about the changes that you want by direct democratic concensus Government by the people.

Free Skool

Greetings friends,

I wanted to thank you all for your support, even if it was just subscribing! We are making major internal shifts, our former collective has dispersed and I (Prometheus) have been left as your one solo and humble editor. We will continue to have contributions and journal posts, but we are taking a major shift, re-organizing, and we have realized the supreme importance of free,non-authoritarian  education. We are re-organizing as Cascade-Siskiyou Free Skool. Our hope is that you will all join us in a reclamation of our minds, intellects, spirits, and world. The first step is deprogramming ourselves and the way in which we interact with the world and our fellow humans, we have been conditioned to follow, to be silent, and afraid of the world and each other.This is an illusion. Our intention is to encourage self-reliance in the community, develop a consciousness of alternative methods of education, and create a non-authoritarian learning environment outside of the widely-accepted monetary economic education system. We do this for the greater good of creating stronger and deeper community roots and enlightenment.

Update On New Projects!

Dear Readers,

Due to our involvement with other projects and our aspiration to have a consistent journal of experiential knowledge avalible and published, we will be “cancelling” our involvement in the organization of Rogue Antifa and instead focusing on C-S Free Skool. This means that Rogue Antifa will be closing for now (we were the sole organizer) but anyone who wants to use the name feel free to take up that banner. This saddens us but makes it easier for us to focus on current and future projects which have more meaning and similarity with MiMu Collective (not that Anifa does not necessarily have shared ideals). Anyway, check back for updates on the Free Skool and future projects.

Breaking News From Mischief and Mutiny!!!!!

Announcing the formation of Mischief and Mutiny Collective! We intend to serve as a localized network of radical anti-authoritarian action and theory. We have adopted the title of “collective” in order to bring in more like-minded individuals who tend to be focused more on action than on theory. We will continue this blog as the networking center and online journal/blogopedialogue of our new collective. We also are supremely pleased to announce that we will organize not only the new Cascade-Siskiyou Free Skool but also serve as the “organizing center” of Rogue Antifa (Anti-Fascist Action) a local and autonomous chapter of the Anti-Racist Action network! We will disseminate, activate,and educate on radical anti-authoritarianism/anarchism and will oppose fascism and racism and authoritarianism in all manifestations. Especially those that are present in our own community.

In May, a new movement spread across Spain and elsewhere around the world, with crowds occupying public spaces in an attempt to formulate a new resistance to the effects of capitalist crisis and austerity measures. We are excited to present Fire Extinguishers and Fire Starters: Anarchist Interventions in the #Spanish Revolution, a full report from a comrade on the ground in Barcelona as published by CrimethInc Collective. This report chronicles the trajectory of the movement and offers a critical analysis of the potential and limitations of the forms it assumed.

Dear Occupiers: A Letter from Anarchists (published by CrimethInc Collective)

Starting with the occupation of a park next to Wall Street on September 17, a new movement is spreading across the country in which people gather in public spaces in protest against social inequalities. We’ll present a full analysis of this phenomenon here shortly; in the meantime, here’s an open letter to the occupation movement, engaging with some of the issues that have arisen thus far.
